Every bride has a particular vision for their big day, and sometimes existing gowns just won’t do…as gorgeous as they may be!
Some brides have an entire concept in mind, while others come to me with 3,4,5 or 6 pictures of different gowns and ask to have different elements combined into one piece. Others aren’t quite sure what will suit their shape. If there’s one thing for sure, all of these brides want their dress to be unique!
No matter what stage you’re at I would love to help you bring your dream wedding dress to life. Over the years I have helped many brides interpret their visions, complement their figure and deliver a final, unique gown that makes their ceremony just a little bit extra special.
I offer each bride a FREE, 1 HOUR CONSULTATION to chat about their ideas for the design of the dress, the materials that would be required, the overall process and time frame, and my own suggestions for creating the best overall look (styles, fit etc.)
One particular bride comes to mind when I write about my experience in creating custom gowns. A lovely lady came to see me with a couple of pictures, some ideas about the styles she liked, and a particular lace she had in mind for the tulle. She also mentioned she had a box full of lace that was taken from her Mother’s wedding dress, as well as a beautiful veil that was worn on the big day.
By incorporating these pieces into her own gown we were able to create not only a stunning piece, but also something of great sentimental value. I’ll never forget the moment she tried on the dress for the first time, and how much it meant for her bring to bring the family’s history with her as she walked down the aisle.
Typically a custom wedding dress requires 3-4 fittings and a time frame of 4-5 months to complete. At each fitting the dress is at a different stage of development and needs adjustments in detail, length etc. As each bride is unique their dress will be unique, too!
